| Just wanted to say it was as fantastic as usual. I don't know how you do it!! Everything ran so efficiently. The music was great and it's nice to see so rising talents like Tal Cohen Shalev. Returing artiists Red Medow, Larry and Mindy, Lilach Sheer,Arava Riders, Evergreen ( and I'm sure I forgot others) were great as usual. Guest from abroad Jason Feddy and Henry's Notions made the festival, And last but by far not leasr, Sean for the most talented comic relief. Please have him back for comedy and singing, |

| I grew up around the Folk Music scene in Cambridge MA (Nameless Coffee House, Ani Di Franco, Tracy Chapman, etc...) and the American organice farm scene and just made Aliyah recently and am buzzed to see that this down home flavor is happening in The Land!
I just re-opened shop in Jerusalem (in Holistics you all won't be surprised) and am sorry to miss the Festival while I'm getting things together.
Next year near Ginosaur!

| Just wanted to say how very much we enjoyed the Jacob's Ladder festival this weekend. We have wanted to come for years, and finally we made it .....well worth it!
The Tsanchani Brothers were marvellous - they really got the audience going - fantastic! Lilac Sheer also was most enjoyable, nostalgic songs, and a beautiful voice.
But the true star of the entire programme, without doubt, has to be Hans Theessink. What an amazing voice - soulful tone, and his guitar playing simply outstanding. His performances were indeed the highlight of our weekend.
Thank you to all the organisers who must have put in many hours of work organising this event. We now understand why Jacob's Ladder has been going for so many years.
Well done ............a most successful and enjoyable fun packed weekend. We look forward to joining you all again.
Warm regards,
Elaine & Brian Benton

| Thanks Thanks Thanks to Yehudit and Menachem! Such an enjoyable Festival and even the rain held off (as we drove home, north to Hagoshrim, the rain started - what timing!). Put Hans' CD on in the car and the hour's journey just flew by - what a treat! Thanks to you two, I'd been sitting at Ginossar, listening to world-class music (a rarity for us in Upper Galilee) and arrived home humming and singing. Enjoyed all the acts (Michael J's "Riders in the Sky" etc was another treat, let alone Shai and Lilach, the Tsanchani Bros et al). And got in some jolly contra dancing as well! Congrats, kol ha'kavod to you for your efforts! |

| What a Weekend!! |
06/12/2009 by Judy Montel |
| Thank you, thank you Yehudit and Menachem - thanks to you I returned home a new woman! The atmosphere, the music -- it was all terrific and inspiring and Hans Thesslink... chaval al hazman. What a treat.
My request: I know you have your hands full as it is, but this project deserves to be made into a book - you could never include EVERYTHING but you have so many stories to tell (like how about those 12 years of correspondence to get that Dutch bluesmaster to come!!)? I know you are busy with the hard work and moving forward but you MUST document your experience of creatingf JL somehow because it is truly a miracle: you bring people to Israel for the first time. Performers who have attended festivals all over the world repeatedly say that JL is unique. You consistently tantalize and inspire our ears and provide an incredible refueling stop for the soul -- and it sure ain't because you sit around all year twiddling your toes.
Please try to start jotting some things down - and put me down on the list for 5 of those books!!
Warmly,
Judy |

| Yehudit & Menachem Have Done It Again |
25/05/2009 by Aaron Leitner |
| Once again you pulled off another great festival. My kids live for the weekend and then don't remove their JL ID tags until they start to disintegrate. Many friends commented to me on how well run everything was and what a great crowd. The musicians were great and to see 700 people square dancing by the lawn stage was a sight to behold! Now you should get some rest. We who know you for many years know how hard you work to make each festival even better than the last. We all are indebted to you for organizing and perpetuating what is truly Israel's premiere English language music event, an institution in Israel. Aaron

| What a great festival! It was our second visit and we loved every minute of it. Great performances, a wonderful atmosphere and an abundance of fantastic music. We especially loved "Just Married", who opened the Friday night performances on your main stage. Wow! What a performance, what energy and lyrical clarity from the lead vocalist Lilach!!! We ould love to see them again next year. Thanks again and looking forward to the next festival. |

| WHAT AN AMAZING EVENT!!! |
19/05/2009 by Joanna Jacobs |
| This was my first time at Jacobs Ladder, and I was just absolutely blown away by the incredible talent and acts that were there... First of all those Hoggy Fogtown Boys!!! What Charisma and energy, it was such a pleasure... Also that Band from New York, Just Married.. I loved their Energy and vibe, they had a great and unique sound I really enjoyed them a lot, the Lead singer had a great stage presence, and I felt it was a great way to get the evening started... Jason Feddy was amazing, as well as Mamma Cotton, and even smaller acts that played all over such as HOLLER, we had a great time, and will be coming back for sure in the future!!!! KEEP IT UP!!! and thank you for a wonderful, unforgettable weekend... Joanna |
